City police responded to more than 285 criminal incidents during the week of Monday, August 29 through Sunday, September 4.

Thunder Bay Police Service statistics are made available through crimereports.com, a website that tracks reported crime via information provided by local police services.

This week’s report shows police were busier on the south side, responding to 153 criminal incidents compared to 132 cases north of the Harbour Expressway.

The more than 285 incidents reported last week is an estimate and does not include traffic cases.

South of the Harbour Expressway, some of the more serious incidents included:

• 17 assaults
• 8 break and enters
• 12 thefts
• 4 thefts of vehicle
• 3 thefts from vehicle
• 4 weapons charges
• 1 sexual assault
• 9 property crimes
• 1 robbery

Meanwhile, north of the Harbour Expressway some of the more serious incidents included:

• 12 assaults
• 12 break and enters
• 10 thefts
• 1 thefts of vehicle
• 4 thefts from vehicle
• 5 weapons charges
• 5 property crimes
• 1 sexual assaults
• 3 robbery

The vast majority of cases city police responded to were listed as either liquor, disorder and property crime.
