THUNDER BAY -- City police responded to more than 56 serious incidents last week.
Thunder Bay Police Service statistics are made available through crimereports.com, a website that tracks reported crime via information provided by local police services.
The more than 56 incidents recorded last week do not include quality of life, property or traffic cases,which typically make up a significant number of cases for the local police service.
The 56 incidents were all reported between Monday, Dec. 1 to Sunday, Dec. 8.
South of the Harbour Expressway, city police responded to 27 significant incidents.
Those incidents included:
- 8 Assaults
- 6 Break and enters
- 1 Robbery
- 8 Thefts
- 4 thefts from vehicles
Meanwhile, north of the Harbour Expressway, officers responded to nearly 27 significant cases.
Reported crimes include:
- 7 Assaults
- 1 Break and enters
- 2 Robberies
- 3 Sexual assaults
- 7 Thefts
- 7 Thefts from a vehicle
