THUNDER BAY – City police responded to more than 200 criminal incidents during the week of Monday, March 7 through Sunday, March 13.

This week’s report shows police had their hands full with more than 30 assaults and seven weapons offences.
The more than 200 incidents reported last week is an estimate and does not include traffic cases.
South of the Harbour Expressway, city police responded to 116 reported crimes. Some of the more serious incidents included:
• 20 Assaults
• 13 Break and enter
• 12 Thefts
• 1 sexual assaults
• 3 Thefts from vehicles
• 1 Thefts of vehicles
• 5 weapons charge
Meanwhile, north of the Harbour Expressway, officers responded to more than 84 criminal reports.
Some of the more serious incidents reported include:
• 11 Assaults
• 7 Break and enters
• 1 Robbery
• 3 Sexual assault
• 14 Thefts
• 2 Theft from vehicles
• 1 Theft of vehicles
• 2 Weapons charges
The vast majority of cases city police responded to were listed as either liquor, disorder and property crime.
