THUNDER BAY – City police responded to more than 239 calls during the week of Monday, July 6 to Sunday, July 12.
Thunder Bay Police Service statistics are made available through crimereports.com, a website that tracks reported crime via information provided by local police services.
The more than 239 incidents reported last week is an estimate and does not include traffic cases.
South of the Harbour Expressway police responded to 124 incidents. Some of the more serious calls included:
- 14 assaults
- 4 break and enters
- 4 sexual assaults
- 2 other sexual assaults
- 8 thefts
- 6 theft from vehicle
- 3 theft of vehicle
- 3 weapons
Meanwhile, north of the Harbour Expressway police responded to 115 incidents. Some of those more serious incidents included:
- 12 assaults
- 13 break and enters
- 3 sexual assaults
- 1 other sexual assault
- 4 robberies
- 16 thefts
- 4 thefts from vehicle
- 2 thefts of vehicle
- 5 weapons
The vast majority of cases responded to were listed as either liquor or disorder.
