THUNDER BAY -- A group of elementary students are doing their part to support earthquake victims in Nepal, as well as giving back to the community of Thunder Bay.
Hundreds of baked goods and cold beverages were up for sale for the cause Wednesday.
The Grade 3 and 4 class at Claude Garton School hosted a lemonade stand and bake sale fundraiser in hopes of raising one thousand dollars.
The money will do towards helping the Red Cross efforts in Nepal, as well as the RFDA.
The students we spoke with say they want to try and raise even more than their goal because it's sad that some people don't have enough to eat.
In addition to the lemonade stand, the students will also hold a bake sale for their fellow classmates, parents and staff at the school Thursday.
