The Municipality of Neebing is getting help from the province to attract new business.

Neebing is in the process of developing an inventory of its industrial and commercial assets, training municipal staff on how to identify and respond to inquiries on investment opportunities and develop a community profile for the Internet.

The work is being conducted thanks to a $14,000 grant from the Northern Communities Investment Readiness Program.

"We are pleased to assist small northern communities in their pursuit of economic development by making it easier for them to share information about their community," said MPP Bill Mauro (Lib. Thunder Bay – Atikokan).
