GREENSTONE, Ont. - Ontario Provincial Police in Greenstone are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspicious male who allegedly approached a child in Long Lake 58 First Nation.

According to an OPP media release, officers with the Greenstone detachment received a complaint about a suspicious vehicle being driven by a man who approached a child on Dec. 18, 2018 at approximately 10 p.m. The child was walking near the Long Lake 58 general store on Wolf Street near the intersection of Otter Road at the time of the incident.

Police said the man engaged in a conversation with the child, who then ran away and reported the incident to an adult, who then contacted police.

Video footage was obtained of the vehicle with the help of the North West Region Crime Unit and the OPP Digital Forensics Unit.

The driver of the vehicle is described as a Caucasian male between 50 and 60-years-old with a medium build. He was wearing dark pants and a blue sweatshirt.

The vehicle he was driving is described as a dark coloured Ford F150 dually or similar vehicle, with running boards and chrome rails on the truck bed and orange lights above the front windshield.
