Greenstone OPP seize nearly $39K in drugs from Longlac residence

A 25-year-old Longlac resident is facing several charges relating to drug-trafficking following a drug bust last Thursday.

LONGLAC — One person is in custody and facing several charges following the execution of a drug search warrant at a Longlac residence last week.

Greenstone OPP seized fentanyl, crack, methamphetamine, cocaine, Percocet, and Ritalin along with drug trafficking paraphernalia and approximately $1,380 in cash, according to a police news release.

OPP say the total estimated street value of the drug seizure was $38,910.

Duke Desharnais, 25, of Longlac has been charged with four counts of possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime.

Desharnais was also arrested for an alleged breach of a conditional sentence order. The accused appeared in court on Friday, April 9, and was remanded into custody.
