Some new security measures will soon be in place at schools under the Superior-Greenstone District School Board.

The school board has announced it will be installing security access devices at all 11 of its elementary schools.

The devices consist of a camera and intercom system, which will require visitors to the schools to identify themselves before being granted entry.

Director of Education David Tamblyn says while they still encourage parents to visit the schools, the new measures are being implemented to ensure the safety of students and staff.
