OTTAWA – Minister of Status of Women Patty Hajdu is issuing a challenge to her fellow MPs to take a gender-based awareness course.

Hajdu called it an important tool for advancing gender equality.

“It’s critical to making effective decisions that consider the realities of diverse persons in Canada,” Hajdu said in a video posted on Monday to Facebook.

Those challenged have until Friday to take the course and post a picture with their office staff with their GBA certificates using the hashtage #GBAChallenge.

“Challenge issued. Good luck,” Hajdu said.

The course can be found here.
