Half-Way Motors Mazda celebrating new location near the Superstore

Anyone interested in a new vehicle should visit Half-Way Motors Mazda this week to learn more about the special sales they are currently offering as they celebrate the new location.

THUNDER BAY – Staff at Half-Way Motors Mazda are celebrating this week after moving to a new location at 545-13th Ave. beside the Superstore.

The new central location offers more customer-focused conveniences than the previous location, which was on Tungsten Street.

Patrick Trevisanutto, managing partner with Half-Way Motors, said the new location allows for many features that customers will appreciate.

“We have an additional 50 per cent more service bays in the shop and as well as a service drive through that will be operational shortly,” he said.

“When customers come for servicing, they will be able to get out of their vehicle indoors in the winter months, as opposed to having to get out of their car outside and walk through the cold.”

The new location is also larger, Trevisanutto said.

“We've increased from 7,400 square feet to 9,500 square feet, which allowed for a larger, more spacious showroom.”

Half-Way Motors has been a family tradition in the city for over 60 years, going back to a Studebaker franchise on Hodder Avenue in Current River that opened in 1963.

Since then, the Trevisanutto family has grown its family of dealerships to include Half-Way Motors Nissan, Half-Way Motors Powersports, Half-Way Motors Carstar Collision Centre, and Half-Way Motors Mazda.

After acquiring the Mazda dealership in 2016, the dealership quickly outgrew its previous location.

“Support for our dealerships and the Mazda brand continues to grow and we knew now was the right time to expand,” Trevisanutto said.

“Our family has been very fortunate for the support of our customers and the community. It’s a pleasure to be of service.”

Trevisanutto thanked the many companies that helped make the new location a reality, which he said took approximately eight months to build with 24 months of work leading up to that.

He invited anyone interested in a new vehicle to visit the dealership this week to learn more about the special sales they are currently offering as they celebrate the new location.
