THUNDER BAY – Construction work is finally beginning on a section of the Harbour Expressway.
The first stage of the project to repave a section of the busy roadway began Monday morning after more than two weeks of delays.
The westbound lanes of the road are currently closed between the Thunder Bay Expressway and Golf Links Road.
At this time, vehicles can still travel east on Harbour Expressway.
That is expected to take two weeks, after which the second stage will begin. At that time the westbound lanes will be reopened and one eastbound lane will be closed.
After that all eastbound lanes will be closed to complete the process.
