The leader of the Conservative Party of Canada is coming to town.

Moe Comuzzi-Stehmann, the party's candidate for Thunder Bay-Rainy River, said Stephen Harper will be at the DaVinci Centre on Monday evening. Comuzzi-Stehmann said she and Thunder Bay-Superior North Conservative candidate Richard Harvey are looking forward to the event.

"Our special guest coming to Thunder Bay is the Prime Minister," Comuzzi-Stehmann said. "We’re extremely excited."

This will be the second visit to Thunder Bay for Harper in less than a year she said. To register for the free event, contact Comuzzi-Stehmann’s office at 476-0579 or Richard Harvey’s at 343-4768.

A local Liberal Party official says their leader, Michael Ignatieff, is expected to be in Thunder Bay sometime during the final week of the campaign.
