SLATE RIVER VALLEY, Ont. – The Haunted Cornfield is no more.
After 15 years, Sue Gammond says Gammondale Farm will not be offering the popular Halloween attraction in 2017.
“With heavy hearts, the friendly folks at Gammondale Farm announce the death of the Haunted Cornfield,” Gammond wrote Wednesday on Facebook.
“At the age of 15 years, the cornfield gave up the ghost and passed into eternity.”
Gammond says other family friendly activities will live on at the farm, including growing squash and pumpkins, Pumpkin Fest and the Easter Festival, as well as sleigh rides, birthday parties, school tours, weddings and other community events.
No reason for the decision was given.
