THUNDER BAY -- A heavy police presence is combing a section of Limbrick Street, part of their response to what's believed to be a weapons call at this point.

Police on Tuesday night have taped off a section of the housing development, just beyond a parking lot off of James Street. Meanwhile residents, communicating on social media, say the power has been cut and a police-operated drone is being used to scour the area.

Police have not confirmed the exact nature of the call, nor have they yet indicated if anyone was injured in the incident.

More information is expected to be released on Wednesday.
