High-school exams will proceed as usual on Wednesday

Student Transportation Services of Thunder Bay say they'll pick up high-school students as usual, regardless of how cold the temperature is outside, though elementary students will not be collected if the wind chill is -40 C or lower at 6 a.m.

THUNDER BAY – Regardless of how cold it is on Wednesday morning, high-school students will still be writing exams.

Student Transportation Services of Thunder Bay on Tuesday announced that while they won’t be picking up elementary-school students should the wind chill dip below -40 C at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, buses will run as usual for secondary students.

Both boards confirmed examinations will be going ahead as scheduled.

Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board said exams will take place at the usual 8:40 a.m., while Lakehead Public Schools’ will start at 11 a.m.

Afternoon busing will run as usual.
