Dozens of Lakehead Public Board high school students were advocating acceptance Wednesday night at a board-wide meeting of the Gay-Straight Alliance at Hammarskjold High School.
Teacher and GSA facilitator Jennifer Smith said students in the club are working diligently to ensure that everyone feels welcome and comfortable in their school environment. Smith said she's seen first hand the difference the GSA has made as students continue to spread their message of acceptance to friends and family.
Churchill student Kevin Rollin said the GSA is creating a more positive environment in his school. All students are welcome to join the GSA.
