THUNDER BAY -- High school students and their guests were at Lakehead University Tuesday to get a taste of what the campus has to offer.
More than 500 high school students attended the Fall Preview Day. Another 100 guests from out-of-town toured the campus and attended specialized program sessions in order to see what the university has to offer.
Several booths with university students at the helm were answering questions and offering advice to prospective new students.
Manager of undergraduate recruitment, Robert Perrier says these events are important to the campus.
The event also included a draw for free tuition for a year, and the winner was Mary Cassano from Churchill high school.
