A stretch of Highway 527 remains closed.
Officials with the OPP confirmed early Monday morning that the highway remains closed from Highway 11/27 to Armstrong.
Poor weather conditions, including freezing rain, led to the road closure.
As of 7 a.m. Monday, OPP officials were unsure how long the road would remain closed.
While temperatures of 1C in Thunder Bay has managed to stave off any major freezing rain, some areas of Northwestern Ontario face more extreme weather conditions.
