Police closed a section of Highway 61 following a crash between a transport truck and SUV Thursday morning.
The two drivers were sent to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Center where they are being treated for non life-threatening injuries. The OPP continues to investigate the collision.
Police say officers responded to the crash around 7:30 a.m. when a 1998 Nissan Pathfinder and a tractor trailer collided. The crash took place on Highway 61 between Arthur Street and Neebing Avenue.
The driver in the SUV was heading south on the highway when the vehicle crossed over the centre line of the road, police said.
