THUNDER BAY -- A motorcyclist is dead after colliding with a van on Highway 11/17 at Highway 587 on Saturday.
An OPP spokesperson said the man riding the motorcycle was declared dead in hospital late in the afternoon.
Police sid the driver of the van experienced no injuries.
The highway's westbound lane was partially open from 1 p.m. to around 5:30 p.m. and police advise traffic is now flowing again.
