THUNDER BAY — Wet snow and poor driving conditions forced the closure of Highway 102 on Wednesday afternoon.
Ontario Provincial Police said the road was closed to through traffic in both directions between Sistonen's Corner and the junction with the Thunder Bay Expressway.
OPP cited deteriorating road conditions.
There was at least one collision on Highway 102, involving a tractor trailer and a pickup truck.
No estimate for the duration of the closure was provided by police.
Ontario 511 also reported the closure of Highway 17 in both directions between Nipigon and Schreiber due to poor driving conditions.
Later, it reported the closure of Highway 11/17 between Sistonen's Corner and the Sunshine Loop Road due to a collision.
