Hiker found after spending night in the bush

A young woman is now safe and sound despite having spent a night in the bush. OPP officers were called to the Sleeping Giant Provincial Park after the 23-year-old Thunder Bay woman failed to reconnect with her hiking partner at a designated time.

OPP officers were called to the Sleeping Giant Provincial Park after the 23-year-old Thunder Bay woman failed to reconnect with her hiking partner at a designated time.

She was later found on one of the trails, and emergency response crews camped out with her until this morning when it was light enough to venture back.
