THUNDER BAY -- A train covered in Christmas lights is bound for Thunder Bay.

The CP Holiday train is coming and will roll into the city at 8:45 p.m. tonight for local residents to see.

It's the 17th annual voyage for the train.

It left from Montreal on Nov. 27 and is one of two trains making the rounds to cities and towns.

The 12 boxcars will be decked out with lights and festive swag, along with a concert stage.

Kelly Prescott and Devin Cuddy will be performing this year as part of the show.

Organizers ask that everyone coming out bring a non-perishable food item to donate for the hungry.

The train aims to raise over one million dollars and around 300,000 pounds of food along the way.

All donations will stay local, and those planning to come out can see the show Thursday night at the CP station on Sydicate Avenue.
