THUNDER BAY – Organizers of the 17th annual Spring Home and Garden Show are expecting to see upwards of 20,000 people over the course of the weekend.

The show, which is taking place in seven buildings on the Canadian Lakehead Exhibition property, kicked off late Friday afternoon.

Co-chair Peter Mersch there are about 300 exhibitors this year.

“We have landscaping companies, homebuilders, flooring companies and granite countertop companies,” he said. “We have everything you can think of that has to do with a home.”

This is the largest show in the event’s history.

“You can spend a whole day here and you still won’t see it all,” Mersch said. “This show just keeps getting larger and larger. We can’t grow anymore. It’s gotten that big.”

The show runs from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday, on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and concludes on Sunday from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Admission is $2 which provides entrance to all buildings throughout the duration of the weekend.
