Hooded suspect robs doughnut shop

Thunder Bay Police Service news release: 

Thunder Bay Police responded to a robbery in progress at the Robin's Donuts located on South May Street on June 7, 2015.

Just after midnight a male entered the business with his hood pulled up to conceal his face and proceeded to go around to the back to the counter area where he took out a handgun and demanded money from the employee.

The suspect left the business with some money prior to police arrival. The 31 year old female victim was not injured in this incident.

Officers located a male matching the descriptionof the supsect in an apartment building a short distance away on May Street. At 1:20 a.m. the male was arrested on an outstanding warrant and taken to the Balmoral Police Station. Officers completed the robbery investigation and also charged him with Robbery with a Firearm, Wearing a Disguise and Weapons Dangerous.

46 year old Jack Richard Miller appeared in court on these charges and has been remanded to the District Jail.
