THUNDER BAY -- A contest sponsored by wind farm developer Horizon Wind Inc. has wrapped up and a winner has been named.
Horizon launched the postcard contest in September, which allowed entrants an opportunity to provide their thoughts on the Big Thunder Wind Park proposal.
The company says it received hundreds of responses in the mail and online from both proponents and opponents of the proposed development.
The winner of the grand prize is Thunder Bay nurse Cindy Matson, who says she's very much in favour of the wind park.
Matson will now travel to Nova Scotia to get an up-close look at Horizon's Maryvale Wind Farm.
