THUNDER BAY -- Officials with the region’s hospital have launched their annual Christmas Appeal Campaign.
Thunder Bay Health Sciences Centre hosted an official kickoff for the seasonal campaign Tuesday. The hospital is looking for donation to help purchase important medical equipment.
Campaign president Glenn Craig says because it is the 10th anniversary of the hospital, older equipment needs to be replaced.
“We’re focusing on some smaller, but no less vital, pieces of equipment,” Craig said during an interview with CKPR Radio Tuesday. “Things like birthing beds for labour and delivery, IV pumps for pediatrics, scopes for urology … small items but really no less vital.”
The Grand Christmas tree will be decorated with star ornaments personalized by each donor.
