Hotel gets new name, $1.1M in renovations

A south-side hotel has ended its relationship with a major chain. On Sept. 1 the former Travelodge Hotel Airlane will rebrand itself the Airlane Hotel and Conference Centre, in conjunction with the completion of $1.

A south-side hotel has ended its relationship with a major chain.

On Sept. 1 the former Travelodge Hotel Airlane will rebrand itself the Airlane Hotel and Conference Centre, in conjunction with the completion of $1.1 million in renovations to the facility.

An open house will be held on Sept. 18 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Renovations include new beds and bedding in guest rooms, the replacement of carpet in all areas of the hotel, the addition of flat-screen televisions and refrigerators, new lobby furniture and lighting and updated artwork and draperies.

The Airlane is under the management of Crescent Hotels and Resorts Canada.
