The Executive Director of the Thunder Bay and District Humane Society, is stepping down.
Maryann Kleynendorst has accepted another job offer in the city. During her 20 months at the helm, the organization made it through some of its most difficult times.
The Humane Society is now financially stable and able to meet all of its obligations and commitments.
Adoption rates have been significantly increased and average length of stay for animals has been cut by 90 per cent. Kleynedorst says she's proud of what's been accomplished in her two years with the society.
Kleynendorst will continue to work with the organization as a member of the board of directors.
