Hot dogs and dirty cars lined up at Morostica Motors on Saturday, all in the name of fundraising for the Thunder Bay and District Humane Society.

"It's quite hot. It has just been steady," said Humane Society executive director, Melanie Blanchette.

All proceeds will be going toward veterenary bills for the animals sheltered at the Humane Society, as well as helping in its year-long effort to construct a local spay and neuter clinic.

"We've reached about a quarter of our mark from the community of Thunder Bay," Blanchette said.

"It's slow but steady. We still have a number of fundraisers throughout the summer."

The next large-scale fundraiser will be the Back To The '80s party the society is throwing at the CLE Coliseum on September 26.
