The ice at Fort William Gardens was packed tonight for a good cause Friday.
About 300 people filled the arena to support Mac's family skate with the proceeds going towards PRO Kids.
Families had the opportunity to lace up and spend the evening skating for $2 per person, and they were joined by some special guests.
Super heroes hit the ice and preformed a flash mob dance. Pro kids is an organization that funds extracurricular activities for children who would otherwise have to sit on the sidelines.
Low income families can apply to have their children participate in organized hockey, dance, swimming, music lessons and much more. PRO Kids coordinator, Laura Daniele says programs like PRO Kids empower families.
Thunderwolves hockey players joined in on the fun along with Wolfie. Kids could also have their faces painted and learn some new dance moves from the super heroes.
