THUNDER BAY -- Some local air travelers are feeling the effects of Hurricane Sandy.
The massive storm is sweeping across the East Coast and has resulted in thousands of canceled flights across North America Monday.
Porter Airlines canceled two of its Thunder Bay flights to and from Toronto this afternoon. The Porter kiosks at the Thunder Bay Airport sat empty with all its check-in areas closed.
The cancellations were due to a weather advisory for Toronto's City Centre Airport.
All Porter flights to and from Newark, Washington, and Boston have been cancelled for the next two days.
Meanwhile, all Air Canada and Westjet flights between Thunder Bay and Toronto's Pearson Airport remained on schedule by early Monday afternoon.
