Impaired driving charges laid following a collision

A woman has had her vehicle impounded following a motor vehicle collision.

FORT FRANCES – A single motor vehicle collision last week has resulted in impaired charges for one woman.

According to an Ontario Provincial Police release, officers responded to a motor vehicle collision Saturday, Dec. 4 on King’s Highway 11 in Watten Township.

As a result of the investigation, a 33-year-old of Fort Frances is charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs and refusing to provide breath sample.

Her driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

She was released from custody and scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 4.
