Injuries in weekend crash not life threatening: Police

The driver of a minivan involved in a weekend crash along Oliver Road received non-life threatening injuries but remains in serious condition.

The collision between a fully- loaded dump truck and a minivan happened around 2:40 p.m. Saturday. Police say the minivan did not stop at the posted sign along Twin City Crossroads.

The truck, which was headed down Oliver Road toward Thunder Bay’s city centre, clipped the side of the van before it flipped onto its side and rested in the nearby ditch.

Both men were taken to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for injuries.

The driver of the truck received minor injuries.
