Intercity Shopping Centre Media Update

Maureen Downey from Murillo got an early Christmas gift today. This afternoon, at Intercity Shopping Centre, she was announced as the winner of $17,335 in this year’s Intercity Shopping Centre 50/50 Cash Draw (Ticket No. 08092). Tickets for the draw sold out early Monday morning.

This was the 16th year of the Intercity Shopping Centre 50/50 Cash Draw. Altogether, the draw has raised $162,335 – all to support world-class patient and family centred care for the people of our community.

Funds from this year’s draw ($17,335) will support the Northern Cardiac Fund and specifically, the newly installed C-arm (specialized imaging equipment) in the Cardiac Catheterization lab at TBRHSC. This equipment is critical for the provision of 24/7 angioplasty; the gold-standard for treatment of heart attacks.

The Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation and Intercity Shopping Centre wish to thank all who took time to purchase tickets this year, and to thank the multiple volunteers who made this draw possible once again.
