THUNDER BAY -- Police were called to remove an unwanted man from a north side apartment early Saturday morning.

Responding officers to an apartment on the 200 block of Ambrose Street found a 48-year-old man police described as acting oddly and refusing to leave when directed by the resident. The officers then attempted to intervene to have the man leave the room but he became combative, police said in a Tuesday morning news release.

That behaviour led to the man being arrested for breach of peace and taken to the Balmoral Street police station.

Police said the man was lodged and eventually released once he was sober and cooperative.
