OPP officials say they are continuing their investigation into the death of a girl in Sioux Lookout over the weekend.
The 11-year-old Big Trout Lake First Nations girl was found near Sacred Heart School Saturday morning.
OPP spokeswoman Shelly Garr said police cannot comment on the nature of the death until a post-mortem, scheduled in Toronto for Monday, is concluded.
"It’s an ongoing investigation," Garr said. "We might have a better idea after that."
The OPP Criminal Investigation Branch is investigating the incident.
No arrests have been made.
"We do want to reassure people that it is an isolated incident and there is no threat to public safety" She said.
