Sixty-eight percent of Ontarians identify their dream of winning the lottery as the number one reason they purchase a lottery ticket.
This Friday, September 9, 2016, LOTTO MAX is offering an estimated $55 million jackpot plus an estimated sixteen MAXMILLIONS prizes worth $1 million each.
That’s 71 million reasons to dream!
According to a survey conducted for OLG, Ontario lottery players dream big when it comes to the lottery:
- Nearly half (47%) of Ontarians say they have dreamt about winning the lottery, while 15% say they have already rehearsed their ‘Happy Dance.’
- A personal chef tops the list of luxuries Ontarians would desire if money was no object for 38% of respondents.
- Experience trumps material goods for 59% of Ontarians who would rather spend their money on ‘doing something’ than ‘having something.’
Since its launch in September 2009, Ontario LOTTO MAX players have won 46 jackpots and 335 MAXMILLIONS prizes.
Ontario players have purchased more than 580 million LOTTO MAX tickets since the game launched and 75% of those purchases were Quick Picks.
For each $5 play, LOTTO MAX players receive three sets of seven numbers ranging from one to forty-nine.
Players must match all seven numbers, in any one set, to win the jackpot and the MAXMILLIONS prizes.
Players can purchase tickets at authorized OLG retailers or buy online at PlayOLG.ca until 10:30 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2016 for the draw that evening.
