The employment picture in the Thunder Bay area improved marginally in the first full month of spring.
According to Statistics Canada figures, the jobless rate for April was 5.2 per cent, down from 5.3 in March.
That also gives the city the lowest jobless rate of all major cities in the province.
Nationally, unemployment sits at 7.3 per cent, while Ontario has a rate of 7.8 per cent.
