Whether it's light and fluffy as it was on the weekend, or wet and heavy, few Thunder Bay residents enjoy shovelling snow.
But that's exactly what the city has to look forward to on Tuesday, as a new weather system brings an accumulation of as much as 16 centimetres of fresh snow, with more possible later in the week.
Environment Canada forecasters say periods of snow, from 2 to 4 cm. in total, will begin in the Thunder Bay area overnight and very early Tuesday morning.
The snow will continue through Tuesday and into the evening, adding another 5 to 12 cm. before the system moves on.
The extended forecast shows a 60 per cent chance of snow once again on Friday and on Friday night.
