Kenora business target of break and enter, police investigating

OPP News Release (KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a break and enter to a business located on Ninth St North in the City of Kenora.

(KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a break and enter to a business located on Ninth St North in the City of Kenora.  On Thursday August 6, 2015 just before 9:00 am OPP were called to a break and enter. 

Police were advised that sometime between 4:30 pm on August 5 and 8:30 am on August 6, unknown suspect(s) forced entry to the business, turned on the water in the building and left it running as well as damaging other items inside. 

The running water caused extensive damage to the building, destroying portions of the interior as well as electronics and office equipment.  The total dollar value of the damage is unknown at this time. 

Scenes of Crime Officers (SOCO) attended and completed a forensic investigation of the scene.

The investigation is continuing.
