(KENORA, ON) – The Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating a fire on Chipman St, Kenora.
On July 4, 2016 OPP at approximately 12:30 a.m, the OPP and Kenora Fire Department were dispatched to an abandoned building on fire in the downtown area.
The surrounding area was blocked off as a precaution and the flames were extinguished by the fire department a short time later. No injuries were reported.
The investigation is continuing with the assistance of the Northwest Region Crime Unit and the Kenora Forensic Identification Unit. Foul play is suspected.
