Kenora man faces drug and firearm charges

Ontario Provincial Police have arrested and charged a man following an ongoing investigation.

KENORA, Ont. – A 37-year-old man is facing drug and firearm charges following an ongoing investigation in Kenora.

According to a release, Ontario Provincial Police charged a Kenora man for drug and firearm-related offences on Wednesday.

Police seized crystal methamphetamine valued at $2,500 and multiple firearms.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged the 37-year-old man with possession of schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking-crystal methamphetamine, possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order, possession of ammunition contrary to a prohibition order, careless storage of a firearm and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

The accused was held in custody for bail court on Aug. 2.
