Kenora OPP responded to nearly 170 calls for service last weekend

Police in Kenora responded to a variety of calls from March 26 to March 29.

KENORA — Kenora Ontario Provincial Police responded to 167 calls for service last weekend.

From Friday, March 26 to Monday, March 29, police say they responded to a variety of calls.

Some of the calls included three alarms, three assaults, five bail violations, one impaired offence, 13 liquor licence acts, nine traffic complaints, six domestic disputes, five mental health act calls, 12 police assistance, 13 police information, four shoplift calls, three motor vehicle collisions, three theft calls, six trouble with youth and 17 unwanted persons.

In total, Kenora OPP laid 22 charges under the criminal code and highway traffic act, according to a police news release.
