THUNDER BAY – Remember, learn and engage this Canada Day at Fort William Historical Park. Join us July 1 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for a day filled with family-friendly activities. Come explore the Anishinaabe Encampment and Fort William to learn about and celebrate our nation’s diverse heritage.
As FWHP moves into its summer season, there’s plenty to see and do! Test your aim with axe throwing, atlatl (spear throwing) and lacrosse (baggataway). Sample traditional foods including wild rice (manomin) and shortbread. Enjoy a variety of entertainment including live music and historical song, dance and re-enactments. Visit the farm, make crafts, get your face painted, and more!
Event ticket prices are $10 for adults and $8 for students, seniors (60+) and youth (6-12). Children 5 and under are free.
“Everyone is invited to join us at Fort William Historical Park this Canada Day to engage in family-friendly activities to remember and learn about our collective history,” states Patrick Morash, FWHP’s General Manager. “We are delighted to once again be able to offer our full range of programs and services.”
Looking for a get-away that’s close to home? Consider staying overnight at FWHP’s campground. We have serviced and non-serviced sites available, as well as RV rentals on site.
