THUNDER BAY -- City police are looking for the man responsible for the attempted robbery of a northside bakery.

Thunder Bay Police Service officials say officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the attempted robbery of Donato's Bakery on Court Street South.

Just after 12:30 a.m. Tuesday a man entered the store and began talking to the employee about the price of a pizza. The suspect then pulled out a knife and demanded money.

This action startled the employee and the suspect ended up leaving the store without any money or goods.

He was last seen riding a bike heading southbound on Court Street towards John Street.

The 18-year-old male employee was not injured during this interaction.

The suspect is described as a Aboriginal man between the ages of 17 and 20 years old. He stands about five-feet-10-inches tall and has a thin build.

The suspect wore a black jacket with red patches on the side, a black toque, an orange neck warmer over his face, dark coloured jeans and black shoes with white soles.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the police at 684-1200 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or www.tipsubmit.com.
