THUNDER BAY -- A 22-year-old suspect is in custody after allegedly threatening staff at a department store with a knife and being tracked down police at a nearby business.
Thunder Bay police were called to the Dawson Road department store just after 7 p.m. on Thursday, where staff members reported a man threatening them with an edged weapon before fleeing the store. Nobody was injured at the store.
Responding officers located the man at a nearby business, where he was arrested without incident.
The 22-year-old man has been charged with assault with a weapon and breach of probation. He remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court next week.
