Thunder Bay Police Service Media Release
At about 9:30 this morning a two vehicle collision occurred in the intersection of McKenzie St and Bethune St that resulted in one pick-up truck spinning out of control into the front steps of a residence on Bethune St.
A red Ford pick-up truck driven by a 61 year old female was eastbound on Bethune St. She stopped for the posted stop sign, and then proceeded into the intersection, striking a southbound green Nissan pick-up driven by a 31 year old male driver. The Nissan truck went out of control as a result of the impact.
The female driver of the Ford pick-up truck has been charged with the stop sign violation. If convicted, she faces a $110 fine.
There were no injuries to the drivers, but there were some minor damages to the stairs and the homeowner had a bit of a fright.
