Labour Day drinking, driving nets woman court date

OPP officers in Kenora stopped a vehicle during the Labour Day weekend in the City of Kenora only to discover the woman driving the car seemed to have a bit too much to drink.

LABOUR DAY WEEKEND IMPAIRED DRIVER CHARGED

(KENORA, ON)  On Saturday, September 3, 2016 shortly after midnight, members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police conducted a vehicle stop in the Valley Drive area of the City of Kenora.

Police determined the female driver had been consuming alcohol and she was arrested and transported for further tests.

A 41-year-old Kenora woman has been charged with:  


* Impaired Driving contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC)


* Having Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle With More than 80 mg of Alcohol in her Blood s. 253(1)(b) CC. 


She is to attend court on October 6, 2016 to answer to the charges.
